See What’s Flying Over You Right Now
Look up and know what you’re seeing — we’ll tell you exactly when and where to spot the ISS, Starlink trains and thousands of satellites, in plain English, right from your backyard.
As of 23 August 2026, around 34,873 tracked objects are in orbit around Earth, including about 19,312 satellites — of which 10,970 are Starlink. There are 12 people in space right now. OrbitalNodes shows which of them pass over your exact location tonight.

Saw something cross the sky?
Tell us when you saw it and which way it was moving — our identifier checks every tracked satellite, the big constellations, and even aircraft overhead to work out what it was.

A satellite is a steady dot gliding across the sky — no blinking, no sound, two to five minutes horizon to horizon. Planes blink. Stars don’t move.

9 fists stacked
That’s how to read a direction like “northwest, halfway up” — halfway is about four and a half fists above the horizon. Best viewing is the hour after sunset or before dawn, when the sky is dark but satellites overhead still catch the sun.
