How we make money
OrbitalNodes Coverage is independent. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or paid to promote SpaceX, Starlink, Amazon, Amazon Leo, NBN Co, Telstra, or any internet provider. Independence is the entire point of this site — every provider's own comparison page has a reason to steer you toward their product; ours doesn't. Here is exactly how the site is funded so you can judge that claim for yourself.
Our rule: the recommendation is formed from the data first, and any affiliate link follows the recommendation — never the reverse. If a provider we have no commercial relationship with is the honest answer for your situation, that's the answer we give.
Where revenue may come from
Referral and affiliate links. Some outbound links to providers or retailers may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — the price you pay is identical either way. Pages containing affiliate links say so inline.
Advertising. Some pages may carry display advertising. Advertisers have no input into our assessments, our data, or our verdicts, and we don't accept payment for coverage or placement in comparisons.
What we will never do
We don't accept payment to change a verdict, a ranking, or a number. We don't run "sponsored" comparison results. We don't hide worse options because they pay less. And we don't present wholesale prices as consumer prices, quietly favour partners in tables, or dress advertising up as assessment.
How the numbers stay honest
Every figure on an assessment carries its source and the date we checked it. Prices and speeds are restated from provider checkouts and regulator measurements (like the ACCC's Measuring Broadband Australia program), not from other comparison sites. Our Amazon Leo arrival windows are our own model and are always badged as estimates. When something is a prediction — like NBN's coverage footprints — we say so, and we always point you to the provider's own address checker for the final word on your specific premises.
